Computational design of protein-DNA interfaces allows production of proteins that recognize specific DNA sequences. We have worked with PrecisionBiosciences redesigning homing endonucleases. This has allowed us to remove unwanted DNA sequences e.g., herbicide, antibiotic genes from plants while providing a means to target specific sequences.
